"Homestead Near Arden"
In 1870, John and Sarah Stover came to Michigan with their three children. They purchased a farm in Cass County and then eventually in Berrien County where they grew grain and fruit along the St. Joseph River, on what is now US 31.
Today, our retail farm market and U-Pic are operated by Ken, June, George and Sandy Stover with the help of Kenny Stover. Sean Fitgerald and Erin Hartzler help out with Paul and Joyce Musgrave.
Its our goal to offer all visitors a warm and comforting visit with nature and friends while experiencing a "taste of Stovers." The Stover Farm is our full-time job, not just a commercial adventure that we play with for a few weeks in the summer. Farming is all we do. Farming is all we have ever done. Except, of course, for June, who is originally from Chicago. Her ancestors came here as part of Lafayettes staff to George Washington. Shes also part Seneca Indian.
